After a long journey across continents, you land at Keflavík Iceland welcomes you with crisp air and surreal skies. Today is for slowing down, recovering, and settling in. Arrival, hotel check-in, a light walk, welcome session, gear prep, and aurora briefing.

Into the Wild : The Snæfellsnes Peninsula
A drive through volcanic fields and fjords toward "Iceland in Miniature." We chase the golden light at Kirkjufell and explore hidden beaches, lava craters, and the mystical Búðakirkja. If skies are kind, our first aurora might dance tonight.

From Forgotten Villages to Sacred Light
We trace the quiet corners of Snæfellsnes Hellissandur's murals and moss-covered homes, then the iconic black church at twilight as it's painted in moody hues. We wait as the northern lights ripple into view, then return to Kirkjufell under stars for our final night shoot.

Where Earth Breathes Fire
We shift landscapes as geysers erupt and waterfalls roar. The Golden Circle brings us to Iceland's geological core Thingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss, and hidden gems like Bruarfoss. By night, we settle in South Iceland, eyes still scanning the sky for green fire.

Waterfall Dreams & Black Sand Shores
Seljalandsfoss greets us at sunrise a curtain of water we walk behind, chasing mist and morning light. We frame Skógafoss before heading to the cliffs of Dyrhólaey and the black sands of Vík. After dinner, we return to Skógafoss, hoping the auroras rise over the falls.

The Road Between Worlds
We drift deeper into Iceland's quiet power Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, a winding green scar carved by time, and onward to the towering cliffs of Lómagnúpur. As evening nears, we settle near Diamond Beach, chasing aurora reflections in the ice-strewn surf.

Beneath the Ice, Before the Mountain
We walk the edge of Diamond Beach at first light, then prepare for one of the tour's most surreal experiences a guided journey into a glacial ice cave, where every wall is a frozen memory. By evening, golden hour meets Vestrahorn's cinematic silhouette.

Iceland’s Twin Horns
Soft morning light paints the black dunes of Vestrahorn before we journey through Iceland’s dramatic eastern coastline. As the day unfolds, we’ll reach Eystrahorn for sunset, where rugged peaks and black sand create a spectacular finale.

The Long Road Home
Soft morning light sweeps across Vestrahorn's black dunes. By mid-morning we begin our westward journey Hofskirkja's iconic turf church, then the haunting DC Plane Wreck where twisted metal meets black desert.

The Final Exposure
We arrive back where it all began. Reykjavík welcomes us with street colors and quiet cafés. Some explore Hallgrímskirkja, some grab one final drone shot. In the afternoon, the Blue Lagoon a warm, slow soak to close this cold, wild story.

The Quiet Goodbye
As all journeys must, this one too finds its end but gently. We make our way to Keflavík Airport. Whether you depart or linger, Iceland will stay In your images, your bones, your breath. This was more than a tour. It was a story told in light.

Meet Your Expedition Leader
Leading this expedition is Ganesh Bagal, a professional landscape photographer and photography educator with over 15 years of experience.
Having explored Iceland on four photography expeditions, Ganesh has spent weeks photographing its waterfalls, glaciers, volcanic landscapes, black sand beaches, and the Northern Lights. His extensive field experience allows participants to photograph the country's iconic locations while making the most of Iceland's ever-changing light and weather.
His work has been recognized with Tamron Photographer of the Year (2015) and published in National Geographic, Sanctuary Asia, and several other publications. He has also served as a jury member for photography competitions, including contests organized by India's Ministry of Culture.
Ganesh proudly represents Sony Alpha, Peak Design, Haida Filters, Think Tank Photo, Godox, and Google Pixel, bringing years of international travel and hands-on photographic experience to every expedition, ensuring participants enjoy a well-planned journey with expert guidance in the field.

Will we definitely see the Northern Lights?
No one can guarantee aurora sightings they depend on solar activity and clear skies. Our itinerary maximizes chances with multiple night sessions across 9 nights in low-light-pollution areas.
How cold does it get?
October- March temperatures range from near freezing to single digits Celsius, colder with wind chill near glaciers and coastlines. Thermal layering is essential.
Is the ice cave safe?
Yes fully guided by certified local glacier guides. It's optional and booked separately, and we help arrange it in advance.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Landscape photography depends on weather. Rather than cancelling shoots, we adapt creatively some of the strongest images are made in challenging conditions.
