What skill level is this tour for?
Intermediate to advanced photographers who can operate in manual mode. Motivated beginners who learn fast are welcome reach out and we'll talk.
What camera gear should I bring?
Any mirrorless or DSLR works. Recommended: wide angle (14–24mm), standard zoom (24–70mm ,70-200MM) sturdy tripod, plenty of memory cards. Drone is optional but highly rewarding at Bromo.
Is this trip physically demanding?
Moderately yes. Bromo means 2–3 AM wake-ups, 5–10°C temperatures at summit, and uneven volcanic terrain. Good physical fitness is recommended.
What is the group size?
Maximum 8 photographers. Small groups mean better access, more coaching time, and no chaos at sunrise.
Will there be Lightroom editing sessions?
Yes one dedicated group editing session is included. Ganesh walks through his complete editing philosophy on images shot during the tour.
What is the cancellation policy?
Deposit is non-refundable. 60+ days before: full balance refunded. 30–60 days: 50% refunded. Under 30 days: no refund. Travel insurance strongly recommended.
Will you share locations and camera settings?
Yes, every location, every setting, every compositional decision discussed on-site. Nothing is kept secret
Do Indian citizens need a visa for Indonesia?
Visa requirements can change.
We will provide the latest guidance and documentation support before departure, but participants are responsible for obtaining the required travel documents.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Landscape photography is highly dependent on weather.
Rather than cancelling shoots, we adapt our approach and often use changing weather conditions creatively to create unique photographs.
Some of the strongest images are made in challenging conditions.
Meet Your Expedition Leader
Leading this expedition is Ganesh Bagal, a professional landscape photographer and photography educator with over 15 years of experience.
Since 2016, Ganesh has explored Bali more than eight times and led multiple photography expeditions to Mount Bromo, building an intimate understanding of the region's landscapes, light, and photographic opportunities.
His work has been recognized with Tamron Photographer of the Year (2015) and published in National Geographic, Sanctuary Asia, and several other publications. He has also served as a jury member for photography competitions, including contests organized by India's Ministry of Culture.
Ganesh proudly represents Sony Alpha, Peak Design, Haida Filters, Think Tank Photo, Godox, and Google Pixel, bringing years of field experience to every expedition and helping participants make the most of every photographic opportunity.
